For convenience and safety, B'nai Tikvah provides bus transportation for Kadima and USY groups to some regional events. Generally, transportation is provided for events a distance greater than 30 miles from the synagogue. |

Busses are shared among area USY & Kadima Chapters to reduce costs. In order to provide a quality service to our members, to properly coordinate with other youth chapters and to ensure safety for all students, the following rules apply. These apply to KADIMA and USY events where bussing is provided: -- Every student must have a confirmed seat on the bus. -- Reservations for seats are made to the Advisor. Advisor will confirm reservations to student/parent. Students are expected to take the bus to and from the event. If another arrangement is desired, it must be CLEARLY communicated in writing to the Advisor and confirmed in writing back. -- Reservations need to be made by the RSVP date provided by Advisor (generally 5 days prior to the event). Time is required to coordinate with other chapters, last minute changes are difficult to coordinate and leave us at risk for safety mistakes. -- MAKE RESERVATION EARLY. BUSSES FILL UP QUICKLY. -- NO reservations will be accepted or changed on Shabbat. -- Students will be charged a minimal amount for their seat. Unless we have a waiting list for the bus, no-shows and cancels within the 5 days will still need to pay for their seat. Students pay for a "round trip" even if going "one way". -- Don't be a no-show. The cost of the bus is divided by the number of seats. All seats reserved for B'nai Tikvah students needs to be paid regardless if filled or empty. Support our transportation efforts.
-- Be on time for pick-up and drop-off. Parents should be mindful of return bus times and arrive ahead of the bus. Congregation B'nai Tikvah Youth Committee |
